Bethlehem Police Searching For Other Potential Victims Of A Child Sex Assault Suspect

BETHLEHEM, Pa., (CBS) - The Bethlehem Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying other potential victims of a man charged with sexually assaulting a 4-year-old.

The incident happened on April 26th at about 2:16 p.m. on the 500 block of Thomas Street.

Police responded to a call from a witness stating they were watching a white male assaulting a small child in the backyard of a residence.

Police say they arrested Donald Pembleton and charged him with the sexual assault of a 4-year-old child.

Pembleton was charged with Involuntary Deviate Sexual intercourse with a child, Attempted Aggravated Indecent Assault with a minor, Indecent Assault with a child under 13, Aggravated Assault, Reckless Endangerment, Corruption of Minors, and Endangering the Welfare of Children.

He is currently incarcerated in Northampton County Prison.

According to authorities, they were informed that Pembleton was always hanging around the neighborhood asking about young children.

Police say they were also informed that Pembleton had approached other children in the neighborhood attempting to befriend them.

Based on the information, police believe that there are possibly other juvenile victims.  Authorities ask the parents of other potential victims to come forward.
