Bridesburg Couple Charged After Young Son Left Unattended With Loaded Gun

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Police have charged two adults with various crimes after their six-year-old son was found sitting unattended in a car with a loaded handgun on the floor.

Melissa Seficiano, 23, and 22-year-old Emanual Cosme, both of the 5000 block of Worth Street, are charged with endangering the welfare of a child weapons offenses.

Last night, officers responded to a crowd disturbance in the area and found the child sitting by himself in a car with the loaded .44-caliber handgun nearby.

The boy has been turned over to his maternal grandmother.
