62-Year-Old Pedestrian Hit By 2 Cars In West Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A 62-year-old man is alive and in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries after being struck by two cars on City Avenue.

The victim was taken to the Hospital of the University Of Pennsylvania after being struck by two cars around midnight along City Avenue near Belmont Avenue in the Wynnefield section of Philadelphia.

The driver of the first car fled the scene without stopping and remains at large.

The operator of the second stopped to assist the victim and police. He was not cited.

Police have not yet identified the make or model of the first striking car.
