CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. (CBS) — If you’re looking for a rare beer, begin your quest with a getaway to Chambersburg, Pennsylvania.
Mike Hennessy operates Good-Ta-Go in Chambersburg. Hennessy describes his bar as a futuristic Pennsylvania beer outlet that isn’t waiting for the future. It’s a cross between a beer distribution store and a beer garden. In other words, he can sell and serve drafts and single bottles instead of the mandatory case.
“Our average customer will have two to three beers,” says Hennessy, “and all three of them will probably be different.”
But Hennessy has 400 bottled labels and 30 more rotating beers on tap. That’s a lot to sample.
Good-Ta-Go also springs for live entertainment. With warmer weather on the way, a getaway weekend in Chambersburg sounds like a plan.
