POTTSTOWN, Pa., (CBS) – One person is dead following a shooting outside of a bar in Pottstown, Montgomery County early Friday morning.

Authorities say the homicide occurred at about 2:17 a.m. outside of Brian’s Café, located on the 300 block of Jefferson Avenue in Pottstown Borough.

Pottstown Borough Police responded to the scene for a report of a gunshot victim.

The victim, a 27-year-old male, was transported to Pottstown Memorial Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

The identity of the victim is being withheld pending family notification.

There have been no arrests made at this time. The homicide remains under investigation.
