GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ (CBS) – Three people were injured in a car accident in Gloucester Township on Tuesday.
The accident happened around 1:32 p.m. on Coles Road.
Police say they received several calls of two people trapped inside the vehicle, but two of the three occupants of the car managed to get out by the time police arrived.
The third passenger was partially ejected through the sunroof and was unable to move.
Officers were able to lift the vehicle and remove the passenger, who was then airlifted to Cooper Hospital. The other two occupants were also transported by GTEMS to Cooper.
At this time, the extent of their injuries is unknown.
Coles Road is shut down between Route 42 and the Black Horse Pike while electric crews make repairs to a utility pole.
The crash remains under investigation.
