PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A new TV pilot is in development, taking place in a town based in a Bucks County community. The show’s creator has local roots.
Jordan Ross graduated from Council Rock High School South in 2006, finished up at Temple University in 2010, then made his way to the marketing department here at KYW Newsradio, but his passion was film and two years ago he decided to take a chance.
Jordan says, “I went, from one day sitting up front at the reception desk. Next minute, I’m on a plane headed out to Los Angeles.”
His latest project is a teen drama called “Rock Way”, a story of five teens in a fictional suburban town, based on Jordan’s time growing up in Bucks County.
“Rock Way, Pennsylvania, the town, is actually a combination of Holland, Richboro and Newtown, and going to school everyday at Council Rock High School South, the heart of the people there is big,” Says Ross.
They’ll start filiming the pilot in late May. You can follow the show’s progress on Facebook and Twitter @rockwaytv
