BURLINGTON TWP, NJ (CBS) – Nine people were injured in a vehicle accident in South Jersey on Friday.
The accident happened around 7 p.m.at Rancocas Road and Mount Holly in Burlington Township.
Police say there were three vehicles involved: a 1997 Nissan Altima, a 2007 Acura MDX and a 2007 Hyundai Sonota.
Two people in the Nissan were trapped inside their vehicle. They were rescued by crews before being transported to Cooper Trauma in Camden. The female driver of the Nissan was airlifted to Helene Fuld in Trenton.
All six occupants of the Acura were transported to local hospitals with various minor injuries.
The occupants of the Hyundai were not injured.
Police say an investigation is underway.
