SEAFORD, Del. (CBS) – Police in Delaware are searching for a man wanted for nearly 50 counts of rape.

On Thursday, March 14, 2013 police began investigating allegations made by a 16-year-old female, who said she had been raped by Wayne H. Thompson, Jr. multiple times over a four year period.

The incidents apparently occurred while the girl was living with relatives in Mobile Gardens near Seaford.

Police have charged Thompson, 47, with 48 counts of Rape 2nd and one count of Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child. They also say he may be operating a black 2005 Cadillac CTS with Delaware registration 133680.
