PHILADELPHIA (CBS) –- A 70-year-old woman was hospitalized after her car crashed into a South Philadelphia convenience store Monday morning.

Police and medics responded at about 9:45 a.m. to the Wawa located on South Columbus Boulevard near Tasker Street.

Authorities say the driver somehow lost control of her and crashed into the front door of the store.

The injured woman was taken to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital with injuries to her legs and back. She is listed in stable condition.

No other injuries were reported.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
