PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Curtis Opera Theatre, Opera Philadelphia and the Kimmel Center present “Owen Wingrave” as part of the Aurora series at the Perelman Theater on March 13th, 15th and 17th.
Listen to the podcast below…
“’Owen Wingrave’ is the story of a family that has had, for generations, military people, and Owen Wingrave has made the decision not to continue this tradition,” explains the artistic director of the Curtis Opera Theatre Mikael Eliason.
Eliason says they’ll be trying something new in this performance.
“There’s going to be a lot of video involved, which I think is going to be very exciting,” he says.
And in addition to the Curtis singers, “we are utilizing a lot of little kids from the Boys Choir here in Philadelphia.”
