WILMINGTON, Del. (CBS) – The New Castle County Courthouse in Delaware was evacuated Tuesday due to a bomb threat.
According to authorities, a bomb threat was called into the courthouse building at 12:14 p.m., which is located on King Street in Wilmington.
As a result, all occupants inside the building were evacuated, as well as several neighboring businesses.
Capitol Police said they utilized several explosive detection canines from multiple agencies and thoroughly searched each floor of the building and parking garage.
The search was completed at 2:40 p.m. and officials say no explosives were found.
Employees were allowed to reenter the building once given the all clear.
The incident remains under investigation.
