PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia police are searching for a suspect responsible for robbing a Center City bank on Tuesday.
Around 9:35 a.m., the suspect entered the Republic Bank located at 1818 Market Street, where he handed the teller a demand note that said he had a weapon.
After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect fled the scene on foot and was last seen heading east on Market Street.
The suspect is described as a black male in his late 30s with a slim build and a goatee. He’s about 5’11” to 6’ tall and may have a gap between his front teeth. He was wearing a brown coat with a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt underneath, dark pants and shoes, sunglasses and a black knit hat.
This subject is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information about this robbery or this subject is urged to call the FBI at 215-418-4000 or the Philadelphia Police Department.
