WILMINGTON, Del. (CBS) – Authorities in Delaware say the man whose body was found in the bushes off a Delaware roadway on Monday was murdered.

The gruesome discovery was made at about 7:50 a.m. off the roadway in the 2100 block of Delaview Avenue in the Silvercroft community of Wilmington.

When police arrived, the body was turned over to the Delaware State Medical Examiner’s Office, where it was identified as 43-year-old Wayne Cappelli, who lived in the unit block of 4th Avenue in the community of Overlook Colony in Claymont, Delaware.

Police say Cappelli sustained severe blunt force trauma to the upper part of his body, probably during an altercation that happened during the evening hours on Saturday, Feb. 16th.
