Del. Courthouse Shooter Made Up Phony Death Certificates For Victim And Her Lawyer

WILMINGTON, Del. (CBS) – Eyewitness News has learned new information about the shooter that killed two people at a Delaware courthouse.

Sixty-eight-year-old Thomas Matusiewicz allegedly wrote out phony death certificates for one of his victims, Christine Belford, and her lawyer before the shooting.

The attorney, Timothy Hitchings, was not present at the courthouse.

Matusiewicz killed two people -- his son's ex wife Christine Belford and her friend Laura Elizabeth Mulford – before shooting himself.

The courthouse is scheduled to reopen to the public on Wednesday.
