Phillies Send Supplies To Spring Training In Clearwater

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Pitchers and catchers don't report to Clearwater for Phillies Spring Training for another week, but fear not, the gum is on its way.

The Phillies loaded the trucks to send supplies to Florida Wednesday, as they prepare for 2013 Spring Training, which begins on February 13th when pitchers and catchers report. Position players report on February 16th.

The supplies include:

15 cases of gum

12 cases of sunflower seeds

20 coolers and a half pallet of Powerade

250 batting practice tops

350 pair of shorts

450 pair of socks

600 pair of pants

600 hats

200 fleeces

1,200 bats

2,000 t-shirts

2,400 baseballs

10, 000 12 ounce cups

150 batting gloves
