Police In Montgomery County Searching For Suspects Who Kidnapped Man, Then Robbed Jewelry Store

EAST NORRITON, Pa. (CBS) – Police in Montgomery County reported to the scene of a kidnapping and subsequent robbery in progress.

The incident happened on Jan. 31 around 8:30 a.m. in East Norriton Township. Police responded to calls of a robbery in progress at Shuler's Jewelers located on West Germantown Pike, where they learned from the male victim that he had originally been taken from his residence in Tredyffrin Township, Chester County.

The victim said he'd been accosted by 3-4 black males armed with handguns who forced their way into his home, bound him and his wife and ransacked the residence.

Following the home robbery, the suspects then took the male victim along with them and drove his white Volkswagen Passat to Shuler's Jewelers in East Norriton Township where an undetermined amount of jewelry was taken from the store.

The suspects fled the scene in the white Passat and a second vehicle described as a silver or blue sedan, possibly a Chrysler.

The victims of the crime sustained no injuries.
