PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — The Philadelphia Union is in the full swing of training camp, and the KYW Philly Soccer Show gets an inside look at how it’s going.
KYW’s Greg Orlandini and Philly Soccer Page writer Eli Pearlman-Storch are joined this week by Kevin Kinkead, writer for the team’s web site, philadelphiaunion.com. Kevin has been covering training camp since its kickoff, and we ask him which players are standing out so far.
But before we get to any of that, Eli hijacks the show and vents about the awful, dour, lackluster showing by the US National team when they drew, 0-0, against Canada in Houston on Tuesday.
The US team featured a squad of younger players as well as MLS-based veterans. We discuss the anemic offense and seeming lack of a game plan from Jurgen Klinsmenn’s men.
