Surveillance Video Released In South Philadelphia Shooting

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia police are investigating a shooting that occurred in South Philadelphia on Monday.

The incident occurred around 2:35 p.m. on the 1600 block of South 24th Street and Morris Street.

According to police, as the 45-year-old male victim approached Morris Street he extended his hand to greet the gunman, who was accompanied by two unknown males.

Police say the suspect then pulled out a gun and shot the victim multiple times before fleeing the scene in an unknown direction.

The gunman has been described as a black male wearing a green jacket and red hat.

The second suspect has been described as a black male wearing a dark colored jacket, stripped shirt, gray pants and green hat.

The third suspect has been described as a black male possibly wearing a gray jacket, blue jeans and a green baseball cap.

Police are asking anyone with information to call 911 or 215-686-TIPS (8477).
