Fatal Bucks County Accident Under Investigation

BRISTOL, Pa. (CBS) – An accident in Bucks County left one person dead Thursday night.

Investigators say a Jeep Cherokee struck a pedestrian on Route 13 near 4th Avenue in Bristol a little before 8 p.m.

Authorities say the driver did stop at the scene and is cooperating with police. The driver, who was traveling northbound on Route 13, claims the victim was in the middle of the roadway at the time of the crash.

The unidentified victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say the man did not have identification on him. He is described as a Hispanic, in his 20s and about 5 feet 7 inches with medium build. He was wearing a dark jacket with grey sweatpants.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
