By Hadas Kuznits

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A local teenager from Newtown Square, Pennsylvania is doing what she can to help children in need this holiday season.

Olivia Andrisani - KuznitsThirteen-year-old Olivia Andrisani (below) gathered her friends and neighbors to sing Christmas songs in LOVE Park in Center City in exchange for donations.

"We're caroling to raise money for Make A Wish." For the past eight years, Andrisani has been helping the children associated with the Make A Wish foundation make their dreams come true.

"The first year we kind of just went house to house and that kind of went on for a little while and then we started going to shopping centers and to our church and this year we're doing dances and stuff like that."

And Andrisani says it feels good. "It makes me feel like happy that I'm able to help other kids and to help them make their wishes come true."

She says she was inspired to raise money through caroling eight years ago after watching the movie "Elf," and has continued with her fundraising efforts with the support of her family.
