BRISTOL, Pa. (CBS) – Authorities confirm a pedestrian died after being struck by a SEPTA train in Bucks County early Wednesday morning.

SEPTA officials say a Trenton Line train struck a person near the Bristol Station. The unidentified pedestrian was pronounced dead.

As a result of the investigation, inbound service to Philadelphia on SEPTA’s Trenton Line is not stopping between Bristol and Holmesburg Stations.

The entire Trenton Line is experiencing delays of up to 30 minutes in both directions.

It was not immediately known why the pedestrian was on the tracks. The investigation is ongoing.
