NORTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA. (CBS) — One person is dead and four others are seriously injured after a car crash in Bucks County on Saturday.

The accident occurred just before 2 p.m. along the 1500 block of Old Jacksonville Road in Northampton Township.

Police say the vehicle was traveling southbound on Old Jacksonville Road when the driver lost control and hit a utility pole.

The diver was rushed to St. Mary’s Hospital in critical condition. The front passenger was pronounced dead at the scene.

The three other passengers were also taken to St. Mary’s Hospital with serious injuries.

There was no immediate word on what caused the crash.

The accident remains under investigation.
