Pizza Delivery Man On Life Support Following Fairhill Hit-And-Run Accident

By Todd Quinones

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Forty-five-year old Lou Andro is on life support after he was the victim of a hit and run.

The surveillance video shows Andro hit by the suspect's dark-colored sedan.

Andro's brother has a message to the driver.

"He got two kids, Nicholas and Jessie. Just turn yourself in. What else can you say? You are going to get caught anyway," Chris Andro said.

Neighbors who know the 45-year-old they are in shock.

The hit-and-run happened at Whitaker and Wyoming. In the video you can see bystanders running to the man's aid after he was hit and thrown about 50 feet.

"I was asking Louie, 'Can you hear me? Move your legs.' He wasn't moving. He was breathing heavy, but as the time past his breathing started getting real low," one witness said.

The crash happened just after 4:30 p.m., just outside the pizza parlor where he worked in the Fairhill neighborhood.

Police believe this surveillance video will go a long way in tracking down the driver.

"It clearly shows the vehicle, a four door Lincoln, dark in color with tinted windows. That vehicle was last seen travelling north of Whitaker," Chief Inspector Scott Small said.

Police believe the Lincoln should have some front end damage.

Andro's family plans to take him off life support Thursday morning.
