PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Philadelphia police have arrested a woman and her boyfriend for the death of her 5-year-old son (see related story).

Authorities say the mother, 23-year-old Lashay Patterson, and her boyfriend, 25-year-old Christian Patrick, beat and burned the boy inside their home in the 600 block of North 13th Street early Saturday morning.

The little boy, Dashawn Harris, was found unresponsive by Patterson. She called 9-1-1 and paramedics rushed the boy to Hahnemann Hospital, but he was pronounced dead around 1:30 am.

Patterson and Patrick face murder and several other related charges.
