WILMINGTON, Del. (CBS) – Wilmington Police are investigating a series of purse snatch robberies that have occurred in parts of Delaware over the past couple of weeks.
Police say eleven incidents have been reported in the Downtown and West Center City areas since November 12, including two on Tuesday that are under investigation.
According to police, the suspect approaches the victim’s, all female, from behind, and sometimes knocks them to the ground before forcibly removing their purses.
The suspect is described by police as a black male, approximately 6 feet tall with a thin build and possibly some facial hair.
No serious injuries have been reported. No arrests have been made.
