TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — Few problems are being reported on New Jersey’s major roadways as thousands of travelers head home after the long Thanksgiving weekend.
Officials say high volume and some accidents were being reported along the Garden State Parkway and the New Jersey Turnpike on Sunday afternoon, causing some travel delays in some spots.
But overall, traffic was moving well in most areas.
The lone exception was for drivers heading to New York City. They were running into major delays at the Holland Tunnel and the George Washington Bridge, so officials were urging those motorists to allow extra travel time.
The news was also good for those traveling by plane, as only minor delays were being reported at Newark Liberty International Airport and at JFK and LaGuardia airports in New York.
