Stuffing, Cranberry Sauce And … Rabbit? Thanksgiving Menus Get Exotic

By Mike Dougherty

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - While most of us are getting ready for a traditional turkey dinner for Thanksgiving, some people have a more exotic menu.

The classic feast is just not exciting enough for some people.

Jim McNamara is trying to appease a diverse group of guests and this amateur Iron Chef has just about everything covered.

"We're going to have stuffed quail and stuffed rabbit. I'm going to do a pork loin, maybe stuff it with some apples and stuff."

These are just a few of the 270 varieties of meat found at Sonny D'Angelo's butcher shop in the Italian Market.

"I think because of the Food Channel, people's diets are getting very exotic because they see it on TV and they want to try it."

Sonny says the most popular items this year are rabbit and buffalo. For more information of the D'Angelo Brothers butcher shop, visit DAngeloBros.com.
