PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The first race of Philadelphia Marathon weekend took place Saturday morning on the Ben Franklin Parkway.
2,300 runners were on this 8K journey. Among the runners, the young and the forever young like Hugh Campbell from Wilmington.
“I’m 88. Started a year and a half ago, but I run quite often. This is my second 8K.”
Hugh is part of a running club and finished this race in about 48 minutes.
“I’m way, way back of everybody else. I’m 88.”
He says he felt great after running, so great that he could run again. But on second thought.
“No, no, not til Thanksgiving.”
