PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Pennsylvania SPCA Human Law Enforcement Officers rescued at least 15 cats from a home in Northeast Philadelphia.
Officials say that on Wednesday SPCA officers executed a search warrant for a home on the 1900 block of Emerson Street near Castor Avenue.
Authorities have confirmed that at least 15 cats have been removed and officers are working on removing more animals from the house.
Officials say they are searching for the suspected owner of the home and that the Philadelphia Licensing and Inspections Department is expected to condemn the property which is filled with animal feces and debris.
