PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Police fatally shot a man suspected of shooting a woman in a Kensington home Wednesday night, according to authorities.

It happened near East Schiller and Braddock streets a little before 8 p.m.

Police say three officers who were called out to the home discharged on the suspect after he allegedly shot the woman.

The woman was reportedly taken to Temple University Hospital in unknown condition.

The relationship between the man and woman is not clear. Police are trying to determine the motive in the shooting.

An investigation is underway.
