Boil Water Alert In Atlantic City Lifted

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (CBS) - Health officials in Atlantic City lifted the Boil Water Alert on Thursday.

Before use, however, officials encourage people to run faucets for three to five minutes to flush the interior plumbing.

Empty and clean automatic ice makers and water chillers. Drain and refill hot water heaters if the temperature is set below 113 degrees Fahrenheit.

Water softener/cartridge filters should be run through a regeneration cycle or other procedures recommended by the manufacturer.
