PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Sixers have looked pretty good so far this preseason, winning three of four exhibition games as they get ready for another preseason match-up on Friday night in Brooklyn against the Nets.
Of course expectations for the 2012-2013 Sixers skyrocketed once they acquired big man Andrew Bynum, but he has yet to play this preseason as he rests his knees.
One pleasant surprise has been the emergence of rookie Maalik Wayns. The Villanova product has not only all but assured himself of a roster spot, but his strong play may have earned him a spot in the regular rotation.
KYW’s Matt Leon spoke with Bob Cooney, Sixers beat writer for the Philadelphia Daily News, about his impressions of the Sixers thus far.
The regular season is quickly approaching. The Sixers open things up on Halloween night at the Center against Andre Iguodala and the Denver Nuggets.
