PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A man who police say shined a laser at Chopper 3 HD in July pleaded guilty Wednesday.

Daniel Dangler, 29, of Philadelphia will be sentenced in January.

Lasers can temporarily blind pilots — causing eye damage — they are also a distraction.

Dangler faces up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
