WYNCOTE, Pa. (CBS) - Crews battled a four-alarm fire in Montgomery County Friday night that sent six people including two firefighters to the hospital.
It broke out just before 9:30 p.m. at a condominium complex in the 1600 block of Church Road in Wyncote in Cheltenham Township.
Investigators say there were about 40 units affected and as many as 75 residents, some of whom are reportedly Arcadia University students. Some residents reportedly had to be rescued from the balconies.
Fire crews are still on the scene of the four-alarm fire in a Cheltenham Township condo building that displaced dozens of residents and sent six people to the hospital.
Six people weree taken to the hospital, including two firefighters who were treated and released. No details on the other injuries.
At least 75 people were displaced. At its peak the Red Cross Shelter took in 32 people. Currently its 11.
The entire complex has been evacuated. Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.
