PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police are investigating a deadly crash that occurred early Sunday morning in Girard Estates in South Philadelphia.

This happened in the 7600 block of Essington Avenue around 5 a.m.

Police say a 35-year-old man was driving at a high rate of speed when he lost control of his vehicle and hit a parked truck. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

It is unclear at this time if drugs or alcohol were involved.

No other injuries were reported.
