GLADWYNE, Pa. (CBS) – A bat captured at a Montgomery County home has tested positive for rabies.
The Montgomery County Health Department confirmed on Tuesday that the rabid bat was captured at a home on the 700 block of Mill Creek Road in Gladwyne.
Officials are urging that anyone who recently came into contact with a bat call the health department at (610) 278-5117. They say that bats are capable of biting sleeping people and barely leaving a mark.
