PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – One of Philadelphia’s most beloved sandwiches was officially crowned the best in America on Wednesday night.
DiNic’s roast pork crushed the sandwich competition on the series finale of “Adam Richman’s Best Sandwich in America,” beating out nine other regional finalists and two “wildcards”—including another Philly favorite, the cheesesteak from John’s Roast Pork.
The twelve regional finalists were narrowed down to three during last night’s episode of the Travel Channel show: DiNic’s roast pork, a barbecue chicken sandwich from Detroit and a chicken sandwich from Savannah.
When it came down to the wire, Reading Terminal’s DiNic’s came out the winner.
The only downside? Those already unbearable lunch lines are about to get even longer.
