PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A suspect who led police in a chase through Delaware and Philadelphia counties Monday evening was arrested, according to authorities.
A little before 6 p.m., Ridley Township Police chased a white Chrysler minivan down Interstate 95 north.
The chase concluded at West Moreland and Joyce streets in Philadelphia’s Port Richmond neighborhood where witnesses say officers forced the driver to crash.
Police took the female driver into custody; sources say there were also two other women in the vehicle.
Details on why the suspect was being chased were not immediately available. However, the vehicle was reportedly loaded with stolen goods including diapers, toilet paper and laundry detergent.
