2 Firefighters Injured While Battling Trenton Fire

TRENTON, N.J. (CBS) – Two firefighters were injured while battling a fire in Trenton Wednesday night.

The fire broke out at about 9:30 p.m. at a home in the 1400 block of West State Street. Crews arrived to find heavy smoke and fire coming from the back of the residence.

Officials say the fire was placed under control a short while later.

The two firefighters reportedly suffered minor injuries. There were no reports of other injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
