PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Philadelphia Union now have two players on the MLS All-Star game day roster.
Michael Farfan will join Carlos Valdes on the MLS team for Wednesday night’s match against Chelsea FC at PPL Park.
“It is a great honor to be named to the MLS All Star Team,” Farfan said in a press release. “I am humbled by this decision and grateful to be listed amongst such talented players. This is something I will never forget.”
Farfan is in his second year in MLS, and with the Union. He’s started 16 of the team’s 17 games, and has recorded a goal and four assists.
MLS had to add an extra player to its roster after accepting Chelsea’s request to increase the number of substitutions allowed for the match.
A limited number of tickets to game have been released and are available to the general public, and are available at philadelphiaunion.com.
