Philadelphia Police Search For More Victims After Suspect In Attempted Kidnapping Turns Himself In

By Diana Rocco

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A predator is caught on camera and turns himself in, but police continue to search for more victims.

Hours after an alleged attack on a 10-year-old girl that put 33-year-old Carlos Figueroa-Fagot behind bars, sources tell Eyewitness News a 13-year-old was groped in Fishtown by a man fitting Figueroa-Fagot's description.

Donna Bromley has lived in Fishtown most of her life and says, "It's not safe anymore."

The teen was crossing the street when police say a man grabbed her breast and said, "I like it."

The man was wearing a T-shirt with a carton platypus on it. Figueroa Fagot was wearing a cookie monster T-shirt when he was arrested Thursday.

Sources tell Eyewitness News he often wore T-shirts with cartoon characters on them and that may be the possible connection.

"That's scary. All these kids on this block, I never thought we'd have to deal with a predator close to home," said Sunshine Staniskis, who has three kids of her own.

Figueroa-Fagot is known to police. Last year he was accused of sexually assaulting a family member. Those charges were later dropped. Police have now taken a DNA sample from him and are trying to link him to other crimes.
"It is very, very scary. You put one behind bars, there's always another one," another parent on Memphis street said.
Figueroa Fagot is being held on felony and misdemeanor charges, including attempted kidnapping.
