Viewings Set For Fallen Philadelphia Highway Patrol Officer

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A viewing was set for Thursday evening for fallen Philadelphia Highway Patrol Officer Brian Lorenzo, who was killed on Sunday by a motorist who was driving in the wrong direction along I-95 north near Cottman street.

The viewing was scheduled to take place at 6 p.m. at the Givnish Funeral Home along Academy Road in Northeast Philadelphia.

A public viewing was also planned for Friday from 7 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul in Center City, followed by funeral mass at noon.

Following the mass, Officer Lorenzo was to be laid to rest at the Resurrection Cemetery in Bensalem, Bucks County.

The Fraternal Order of Police Philadelphia Lodge 5 has set up an account for Officer Lorenzo's family at the Police and Fire Federal Credit Union in the name: "Brian Lorenzo Memorial Fund."

Donations for his family can be made at any PFFCU branch or other PFFCU members can make transfers directly by phone at 215-931-0300.
