PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Sixers had been relatively quiet since their season ended in Game #7 of the Eastern Conference semifinals with a loss to Boston. That is until Friday.
That’s when word broke that they plan to use the amnesty clause on forward Elton Brand and eliminate his $18-million-plus salary out of salary cap consideration. Also word came that they have decided to bring in sharp-shooting guard Nick Young for one-year and part ways with guard Lou Williams.
So how do these moves fit together and what’s next for the roster?
KYW’s Matt Leon spoke with Bob Cooney of the Daily News and Tom Moore of Calkins Media/Phillyburbs.com about the Sixers offseason and what to look for now.
