Police Search For South Philadelphia Cab Driver Robbers

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A cab driver was robbed on the 500 block of South 2nd Street on Saturday, June 9th.

At about 2:57 a.m., two male suspects approached the victim and allegedly took $200 in cash, an iPhone, and keys from his hand.

Authorities say that a physical altercation happened after the victim followed the suspects who robbed him. The victim was punched in the face several times leaving a bruised, swollen, cut, and bleeding right eye.

The suspects fled on foot towards South Street.

The first suspect has been described as a black male wearing a white shirt, black shorts, white sneakers, and a baseball hat.

The second suspect has been described as a black male wearing a white shirt, tan shorts, white sneakers, and a baseball hat.

The third suspect has been described as a black male wearing a white shirt, white shorts, and black sneakers.
