BRISTOL TOWNSHIP, Pa. (CBS) – Police arrested a Bucks County man on DUI charges after he allegedly blew through a check point early Sunday morning, nearly striking five officers.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, 52-year-old John Connors sped through a DUI check point shortly before 1 a.m. at Route 413 and Rockview Drive in Bristol Township. Police say he refused to stop and lead troopers on a pursuit that eventually came to a halt in a park along Snowden Avenue.
Police say Connors fled on foot and was taken into custody after a struggle.
Connors was charged with recklessly endangering another person, fleeing and eluding police, resisting arrest, DUI, possession of a small amount of marijuana and related traffic offenses.
Connors was taken to Bucks County Prison where he was being held in lieu of 10%, $150,000 bail.
