PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Late Friday night, Philadelphia police said they were looking for a missing eight-year-old boy. But now that search comes to a tragic end as police say they found the boy dead.
Eight-year-old Isear Jeffcoat made a trip, with his day care center, to a pool on the 6600 block of North 8th Street in East Oak Lane.
But he went missing, according to police, and no one had seen him since 3 o’clock Friday afternoon.
Police released a statement at around 10 p.m., reporting Jeffcoat missing, giving a description of the boy and asking for the public’s help in finding him.
But authorities now say, just after midnight, they found the boy’s body at that same pool.
No details have been given on exactly what happened.
