Young Fan From Montgomery County Receives Special Wish From Beyoncé

By Suzanne Monaghan

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --  Beyoncé  is recognizing a special fan from Montgomery County for his strength and determination.

The singing superstar has made 19-year-old Timmy Kelly very happy.

Kelly was born blind and has cerebral palsy, but has gone on to inspire others with his singing, including Beyoncé.

The two met at the 2007 Grammy Awards and have kept in touch.  Beyoncé even featured the meeting in one of her videos.

( Beyoncé):  "You look so handsome."

(Timmy):  "Oh you've got me speechless."

Now, Beyoncé has written an open letter on her website congratulating Timmy on his high school graduation and acceptance into the Boyer College of Music.

"I was thinking to myself, this is amazing," Kelly says. " Beyoncé is a superstar. She is known by millions and millions of people and for her to do this for me is such an honor."

Part of the letter reads "he has proven to everyone, that anything is possible if you believe in yourself and work hard."
