The old golf adage “keep your head down” can be a downright disaster because it can produce some nasty side effects. What that advice is really trying to get you to do is to maintain your spine angle throughout the swing… rotating around that imaginary rod that goes down your back, out your tail and all the way to the ground when you set up at address.
Losing that angle can happen on the backswing or through-swing, and the results aren’t pretty. It also can creep into the game of better players, and is something that Edgmont Country Club head pro Craig Susalka recently needed to correct himself.
So he has already taken his own advice… and now it is time to pass it along to you in this podcast at TeeItUpPhilly.com. Maybe it will be just what the doctor ordered if your ball-striking has been a bit off…
