Country Singer Kenny Chesney To Give Free Concert In Wildwood

WILDWOOD, NJ (CBS) – Country superstar Kenny Chesney is coming to the Jersey shore.

Chesney was reportedly looking to perform on a boardwalk and had considered Seaside Heights, but he decided on Wildwood after visiting the beach there.

The June 20th concert is free and will take place from 8:27 – 10:15 p.m. on the beach at Schellenger Avenue. According to promoters, Chesney will perform on a huge, former Pinky Floyd stage.

Though there’s no charge, fans have to get a ticket to attend the event. Right now, they’re available to American Express Card holders and Kenny Chesney Fan Club members until 10 p.m. on Sunday, June 10th at http://www.ticketmaster.com. The first 15,000 tickets will be distributed to American Express customers, who will be able to watch the show from a fenced in area close to the stage.

Tickets go on sale to the public on Monday, June 11th at 11 a.m.
